Development of technology for the production of nanocontainers associated to pulmonary interfaces

This objective will explore the different alternatives of incorporation of surfactant proteins or similar structural derivatives within different micro- and nanoensembles with the ability of transport different cargos, such as hydrophobic drugs, proteins, nucleic acids or microorganism. We will analyze the effect of incorporation of these protein derivatives on the assembly and vehiculization ability of the corresponding nanocontainers at the air-liquid interface. Also, the fundamental parameters that define the interfacial vehiculization at respiratory-based conditions will be evaluated.
